A deeper program with kids varying in skill sets will allow our athletes to grow at their own pace. The more 'intense' athlete will have the ability to play competitive tournaments while the athlete that wants a 'travel baseball' environment or "Rec Plus" can play on the League Team.
If you choose to stay in our program in the Spring, this means you automatically have a spot. You will still need to RSVP and attend the tryout. If you choose to play somewhere else or don't think this is right for your family, no hard feelings.
The 'tryout' is to assess the interest level of the athletes that are currently on each team but we also want to provide four other athletes with the ability to make the program.
Yes. As long as you meet the 9u age requirement, we encourage you and your friends to come and tryout. Please keep in mind that we only have four open spots available.
We will plan to come together late January to have winter workouts together. Our hope is to practice 1-2 days a week from late January to early March.
At the end of Winter workouts, we will survey the parents to gauge interest on whether they want to commit to a league team or more intense tournament team.
We will work to practice together as a large group. This will give us the flexibility to do more dynamic practices while allowing all levels of athletes to work and grow together.
We plan to mainly practice and play out of Byron Johnson and Millstone. With some practices on fields throughout Hamilton.
Yes. We anticipate that several players will want to play on both teams. We also want to bring more athletes to tournaments so we're not short on pitching and athletes can have a slightly more flexible schedule.
We are still working to come up with the right name that fits this unique group of ball players. We have several ideas but don't want to rush to make a decision.
Our focus is to keep costs as low as possible. We do not have a figure yet on what the fees will be but we assure you that we will be transparent with where the fees go.
This is simply a necessary step to allow every young man to do what they want. If they want to play multiple sports, they should...without feeling guilty about doing so.
If another group of boys want to play baseball only in the Spring, they should be able to, while having a full roster to play along side with.
This accommodates ALL players while making sure we keep our friendships together.
